          EOU ALERT Emergency Notification System

          EOU winter weather: Monitor the EOU website, EOU email, Webster/Canvas, local broadcast radio or call EOU’s weather line at 541-962-3131 for closure or delayed opening notifications.

          In the event of an emergency or campus closure, EOU students and employees will be notified via e-mail, voice and text messages.

          On campus students are automatically opted in. Online students must opt in manually.

          Security and emergency services provided at Eastern Oregon University help insure a safe and secure campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. On campus security is responsible for:

          • Response to life threatening incidents.
          • Patrol of campus grounds, buildings and other EOU properties.
          • Enforcement of parking codes and regulations.
          • Facilitates emergency access to campus buildings.
          • Enforces campus policies and regulations.
          • Responds to reports of crimes occurring on campus property.
          • Cooperative criminal investigations with local and state authorities
